CGI Capability allows you to interact with people who connect to your web
site. For example, if you want to offer order forms, guest books, or hit
counters, you need the ability to execute CGI programs on-demand. Except
for the Ensign package, all of our packages include a CGI directory,
complete with working CGI programs, such as mailsend.cgi, which emails the
contents of almost any form to a mail address of your choice.
If the CGI program is not already installed in your CGI directory, you can visit one of the many CGI scripting sites on the web and download free CGI goodies galore. Or, using C, Perl, or the language of your choice, write your own CGI programs. We do not place any limitations on the CGI programs you include in your CGI directory. However, you are required to maintain them yourself and make sure they are being used in a responsible manner. |
